Manage episode 492505741 series 3535022
In Episode 3 of this series on 1 Peter, Caleb Conley and I discuss the second half of the Prooemium, vv. 6-12, and how Christians have a faith that stems from God's actions in the past, clings to that which He is doing in the present, and hopes for the coming glory that will be revealed when Christ returns. Peter develops the theological mind of his epistle in the first chapter, though, more than this, also sets up the backdrop for how Christians of the first century, and now, are to follow Jesus and live within their new found life in Christ.
