In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") and intern India Otto are back in studio following USC's disappointing 42-27 loss at Oregon, knocking the Trojans out of the College Football Playoff picture. The loss only dropped SC two spots in the latest CFP top-25 rankings, but with three losses there is essentially no chance to climb up into the top-11 to secure one of the at-large spots.

The Trojans will wrap up the regular season with an opportunity to go 9-3, facing off against crosstown rival UCLA in the Coliseum Saturday afternoon. The Bruins started the season looking like the worst team in the country, fired head coach DeShaun Foster, named Tim Skipper as the interim head coach, fired offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri, named Jerry Neuheisel as the play caller and then did the impossible, beat No. 7 Penn State. The Bruins went on to beat Michigan State and Maryland, then came crashing back down to earth, losing the last four games by a combined 129 points.

The crew gives their thoughts on the concerns coming out of the Oregon game, the potential for overlooking the Bruins, where the team is health wise and Lincoln Riley's future with the USC football program. With the playoffs off the table, they also discuss which bowl games are the most likely and who some of the potential opponents could be.
