While it likely won’t be passed in time for this year’s budget, KYW Suburban Bureau Chief Jim Melwert takes a look at its chances of eventually getting across the finish line. A woman was shot and killed near a church in North Philadelphia early this morning. KYW's Tim Jimenez has the story from police headquarters. The recent, tragic death of a young girl killed while riding a electric scooter in Aston, Delaware County has officials reminding residents that those vehicles are not allowed on streets or sidewalks The first mosquito pool this year infected by West Nile virus has been discovered in Northeast Philadelphia. Health officials expect to see more West Nile-positive pools across the city. As KYW’s John McDevitt reports, although no humans have contracted the disease, the health department is keeping a close eye on things.
