We continue our Global Conversation regarding the movement from Dominator Hierarchies to Partnership Societies and families.
In this episode I want to discuss this subject regarding gender in the Biblical Narrative and the religion of Christianity historically. So let’s do some theology.
Tracking through the Narrative, the creation story culminates with the creation of male and female. In Genesis 2 the story says the 2 become 1. This idea is one of partnership.
Domination hierarchies identify power and authority to a specific group and all others are subjects.
How is that paradigm trans-formed in the story? Why is it important in the story? How has Christianity been a model of Dominator Hierarchy?
