How often do you get scared about something and instead of letting fear decide who you get to be, you seize the moment and over come the illusion of fear.
There are many benefits that we receive when we create a practice of over coming the fears we face in everyday life. As Martin Luther King so brilliantly spoke, “It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us.”
We are naturally drawn to things that brighten our light and because shinning our light can be scary we don’t realise sometimes how important it is to over come this fear, to reach our greatest potential in life and within our self care practices.
What things can be scary for you? Is it speaking up? Being honest about how you feel with others or even yourself? Is it going to a meditation group or breath work class? Is it putting yourself first in general? Putting yourself first can be scary because it means letting go of controlling everything cos lets be honest, there's always something to be done. How can you step away, let go, and be more fearless in your self care practices and every day life?
