The Prismatic Team have a roundtable about the politics of desire and the line between prejudice and preference. Who’s voices and bodies are being excluded and why? How does our social location effect our decisions regarding love? Josh chats with Shannon Shird and Alexis Mena, artists and community organizers, who discuss their experience as a black, queer polyamorous couple. They speak about polyamory as a form of resistance from patriarchy and capitalism. Tsige sits down with documentarian Jamal Lewis who gives their oral history involving stories from their childhood and their upcoming documentary “No Fats, No Femmes.” They give their ideas on desire, preferences, sex, and gender.
