Amanda Curran, a combat veteran and former law enforcement officer, founded Apex Legal Support Services in Myrtle Beach to create a family-run business and legacy for her kids. Her worst experience was serving a foreclosure to an elderly, disabled couple, where the man threatened her with a gun—reinforcing the need to stay calm and involve police if necessary. Her best was locating and serving a man who had avoided service for nearly a decade, helping a client recover years of unpaid child support. Amanda built her business by marketing while driving for Uber/Lyft and values social media networking. Her advice: think outside the box, stay persistent, and push through slow periods.
