Howard speaks with Lawyer Jonathan Griffiths about his humble beginnings, the power of perseverance and important lessons in humility learned from a construction tycoon.

Jonathan Griffiths was born in London, England, lived in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Johannesburg South Africa before his family immigrated to Canada when he was thirteen. He attended high school in Toronto and received his post-secondary education at the University of Toronto and Osgoode Hall Law School. Having received his real estate licence at the age of 19 Jonathan was actively selling real estate while attending university and law school and as soon as he was called to the bar OREA (Ontario Real Estate Association) asked him to teach the real property law course. He taught that course for over ten years and during that time he wrote a course on the agreement of purchase and sale which was subsequently taught around the province.

In 1981 Jonathan founded his law firm Griffiths Law. The firm focuses mainly on residential real estate and now operates three offices in Ontario with a staff of four lawyers, one licensed paralegal, and fifteen other supporting staff.
