In this episode of the Redacted History Podcast we take a deep dive into the history and importance of Unions in the United States of America. What is a Union? What do Americans think? What does our government think? How are worker's rights being protected?

I sat down with Rashaad Pritchett, a housekeeping aide at Kaiser Richmond in Richmond, California. Rashaad is also a member of SEIU-UHW, a healthcare union comprised of over 120,000 workers who led the largest healthcare workers strike in United States history in October 2023. We discussed his involvement with his union and how it changed his life and how that led to him being on the front lines of a strike that placed immense pressure on the state of California and set precedent for workers nationwide.
