Film aficionado at heart - F&B entrepreneur is the path he chose in life. This is Joey Ghazal, our guest for this episode.

Born in Montreal and raised in Dubai, Joey is a “gastropreneur”, founder, CEO and managing partner of the MAINE since 2014 - one of the first Dubai homegrown concepts to open internationally. Apart from the F&B industry, he is also CEO and partner of Fighterbrands, a creative agency specialized in space design , brand creation and menu development.
Joey is known as “the man” behind the uberstylish and successful eatery, The MAINE, with which he disrupted the Dubai dining scene by thinking of it differently and bringing his theatrical touch to every place he puts his hands on. He made us all proud by exporting his Dubai homegrown concept to the very competitive dining landscape of London.

Fusing his passion for the film and restaurant industries, Joey inspired me by sharing how he approaches every project through a process of storytelling, where every member of his team is a character that is immersed into the brand by design but also by training.

In this episode Joey takes us through his journey while touching on topics such as the importance of storytelling and building a good team at scale and across borders, how he invests in tools that make his world more efficient. And much more...
