Pentecost, also known as the Feast of Weeks or Shavuot, was originally a time to bring the first fruits of the wheat harvest before the Lord. But something remarkable happened on one particular Pentecost recorded in Acts 2: God sent His Holy Spirit in power. In today’s episode, we trace the biblical roots of Pentecost from Leviticus to Jerusalem, and unpack what it means to live as a people filled with the Spirit. We’ll explore why the law was given at Sinai on Pentecost—and why the Spirit was given on the same day in Acts. We also discuss how Pentecost invites us to step out in boldness, mission, and unity. You were made for more than survival—you were made to walk in the Spirit.
