In this episode, we discuss increasing water consumption.

Rising global population and economic growth are the primary drivers behind increased water consumption worldwide.

This expanding need is due to direct human use, greater demand for food and manufactured goods, and increased energy production.

To address these growing demands, various methods for increasing water supplies are being explored and implemented.

These strategies include constructing dams and reservoirs for water storage, transferring water between regions with surpluses and deficits, and utilising desalination plants to convert seawater into freshwater.

These approaches aim to ensure a more sustainable supply of water for a growing and developing global population.
