This is the Quick Pack Recap. I’m your host this week, Alin Beane. Both Nevada basketball teams recently went out losing to end their seasons at the Mountain West Conference Tournaments. The men’s team defeated Fresno State in the first round 86 to 71, but fell to the eventual champions, the Colorado State Rams, in round two by a score of 67 to 59. The women’s team didn’t fare much better, ending its season with a first-round loss to Boise State, 54-48. The men’s team ended their season with an overall record of 17-16, going 8-12 in conference. The women’s team finished at 11-21 overall, with a mark of 6-12 in Mountain West play. In other news, Nevada baseball’s up-and-down start to its season continues. After starting the season 10 and 6, the Wolf Pack lost its first conference series against Fresno State before picking up a non-conference win at Santa Clara on March 17th. Nevada lost game one of the March 15th doubleheader against the Bulldogs 15-12, but rebounded to take game two by six runs. The series ended on a 13 to nothing run rule loss in seven innings. The team bounced back against Santa Clara, picking up a 13 to 4 win on the road. Thanks for listening to this week’s Quick Pack Recap. Check back in next Tuesday for our next recap.
