Join me as I sit down to discuss a broad range of water topics with two of Utah's leading water experts, Joel Williams, Deputy Director of Utah Division of Water Resources, and Eric Klotz retired Water Resource Engineering Manager. We discuss the Drought in Utah and throughout the West. The Great Salt Lake, the Bear River, the Colorado River.
I know we all love our water and want to protect it. My hope is to encourage us to have informative, helpful, and meaningful conversations so we can find solutions to some of our toughest water woe's to date.
Joel grew up in Utah and has enjoyed a lot of time in the wilderness. He is passionate about protecting and conserving our water. He enjoys backpacking and has been on numerous rafting trips. He is one of the smartest, kindest people I know.
Eric grew up in Michigan. He came to Utah to enjoy skiing and quickly was introduced to rafting where he fell in love with water and rivers throughout the West. He spent a good portion of his time overseeing conservation efforts to "slow the flow".
It was an informative conversation that highlights many aspects of water in Utah. It was also so nice to know people who also care so much are working to help protect and save our Water.
I invite our listeners to become more informed and to encourage our state representative's, especially legislatures, to find ways to continue to improve all our water conservation and protective measures. We care, a lot!
But also remember to be kind.
Politics are cruel and I believe we need to come together with more kindness .
so we can make the biggest differences. Please.
Enjoy Joe and Eric.
