After two days of chaos on the NSW train network, commuters will be glad to know Sydney trains appear to be running close to time this morning, as investigations get underway into what went wrong.

A live wire fell on the top of a train near Strathfield on Tuesday - trapping 300 passengers onboard and causing most rail lines to grind to a halt.
