A new paper by the Australian Antarctic Program Partnership has, for the first time, published the total global impact of sea ice loss on ocean currents, ice shelves, wildlife and shipping access.

The research comes just days after the U.S. Department of Defence announced it would no longer provide satellite weather data to the key organisations assessing these impacts.
