Dr. Russell is a native of Mobile, Alabama who grew up with six siblings and was raised by a single mother after his father passed away when Dr. Russell was 3 years old. He talks about navigating through his adolescence and earning his Ph.D. in organic chemistry and becoming the head of the chemistry department at Tuskegee University. He is a father, professor, husband and pastor. His story is one of understanding what is important in life and perseverance.
