What I'm Grateful For:
- I've paid all my bills for 2 years off the back of telling jokes and reading quiz questions
- I've begun to get some response from the content I'm creating
- I'm feeling more connected in my communities
- The podcast has been a very good networking tool
- Second comedy special was received very well, nearly at 10k views.
Lessons learnt:
- Success is not going to make you happy
- You will be told "no" more times that you can count, get used to it.
- Therapy is worth the money
- Idle hands are the devil's plaything
- Crumbs make crumbcake
- The cavalry is not coming to save you
- You can never predict what's going to happen, curve balls will constantly be coming your way
- Even with a dream job, you're still going to have shitty days
- When it's going well, it's never going as good as you think it is, and when it's going bad, it's never going as bad as you think it is.
- "Bush was terrible for the world, but great for punk"
