Interview with Prof. Chris Cheatum (recorded 2020-09-11) Chris Cheatum is a Professor of Chemistry at the university of Iowa where he runs an ultrafast laser lab focusing on a spectroscopic technique called 2D IR spectroscopy. Using this spectroscopic tool, Chris investigates the motion of molecules, in particular enzymes to understand how they achieve their amazing properties like order of magnitude acceleration of chemical reactions. Chris also shares how he got involved in science and research and the joy of sharing his research and what scientists do with students as young as the elementary school level.
