“Music, how and why it can pull you out of a normal day to day consciousness into something more profound and timeless.”
Phil recently moved from Seattle, a town where he'd lived since 1990 (which was the dawn of Seattle-born grunge!), and a town he swore he'd never leave, to the much smaller Port Townsend on the Olympic Peninsula, about 2 1/2 hours away. Turns out Port Townsend's music scene, while smaller and slightly less prestigious than Seattle's, is vibrant and active and much more accessible. Currently he's playing cello with the local orchestra, and also playing fusion with local musicians. As well as his ongoing work on guitar supporting a young singer in Mexico City. He is also a self-proclaimed cello-sticker mogul.
He can be heard on The Mahavishnu Orchestra’s albums Apocalypse and Visions of the Emerald Beyond
Spandrel - original instrumental fusion - cello, guitar, drums
