I’ve known Martin my entire life through family, he’s the kind of guy who tells the waiter at a restaurant that it’s your birthday when it’s not… every single time you go out. Martin is loaded with jokes and fun stories, but he’s also incredibly passionate about his field of work. He absolutely loves the movies - from the process of how they’re made, to the experience of watching them, to the impact that they can have on the world. He has a ton of knowledge about the film industry and it was a blast to hear his take on it. In this conversation we talk about his entry into Hollywood as a young kid through his father, about all the hard work, long wait times, and honestly luck of being in the right place at the right time, for films to be made. We talk about the brutal honesty required in the industry, about his adventure seeing the movie Paranormal Activity from before it’s acquisition to when it was played on the big screen, and lastly about the types of strong bonds and relationships that are needed in his line of work. I learned a lot from Martin and had a blast listening to him, and I know you will too.
