THE SOCIAL CONTRACT podcast is for political junkies who might have forgotten just how fun (and often comical) politics and Washington's political figures can be.

A lot of what you’ll hear on the podcast will be a fictional, satirical sendup — in the vein of SNL — of the hot-button political issues of the day.

But sometimes we’ll get a little more serious, because we take our name from something we on the creative team all take very seriously — the social contract.

What is the social contract? It’s the idea that citizens in a society will work together — collaborate and cooperate — for everyone’s social benefit.

Think “we the people.”
