Mike and Alexandra continue with the Lenten beer series as well as an alcohol-free mocktail series. Topics include:

  • St. Francis of Paolo and the Paulaner monks
  • Doppelbock and its origin with Paulaner Salvatore
  • Pretzels and their origin as a Lenten snack

Beer of the Week: Paulaner Dopplebock

The St. Lawrence Mocktail

1 oz. lime juice

2 oz. grapefruit juice

½ oz. maple syrup

Pour lime juice, grapefruit juice, and maple syrup into a shaker filled with ice and shake vigorously 40 times. Strain into a cocktail glass and top with sparkling water.

Weds. March 1, 6pm at Georgetown University Thomistic Institute. Mike will give a talk on the proper Catholic attitude towards eating and drinking

Thurs. March 2, 6-8pm launch event at Catholic Information Center in Washington D.C. with Fr. Leo Patalinghug
