In this episode, I’m diving into a topic that’s close to my heart - and something I hear far too often from women after cancer: “I feel so lazy.”

If you’ve ever felt guilty for needing rest or frustrated by your energy levels, I want you to know, you are not lazy. You are healing.

I share some of my own experiences with post-cancer fatigue and the mental battles that come with it. I talk about why recovery often takes longer than we think, how society’s pressure to “bounce back” can be harmful, and why rest is not just okay - it’s essential.

This is your reminder that your body has been through so much, and honouring that with compassion and patience is part of the healing. You are doing enough, exactly as you are.

Here are the highlights:

Pressure to Bounce Back Quickly (1:43)

Internalising Guilt and Self-Care (3:49)

Healing and Emotional Exhaustion (5:17)

Self-Talk and Practical Tips (7:37)

Setting Boundaries and Nutrition (10:43)

If you like Confidence After Cancer, please continue to listen and give it a follow wherever you get your podcasts. Remember also to share with your friends and family, as it will really help this show help as many people as possible.
