[00:00:00] Kevin Brewer shares his journey from being unable to walk to his fridge to completing 10 Spartan races. He explains how setting small daily goals—starting with walking 200 meters a day—helped him rebuild his health after years of physical decline.

[00:00:29] Kelley introduces Kevin Brewer, a former military veteran, athlete, and resilience coach. Kevin has 22 years of experience working in classified military and federal law enforcement initiatives and now helps men and women strengthen their mindset and leadership skills.

[00:03:22] Kevin opens up about his challenging childhood, growing up in a broken home with an alcoholic father. Despite the odds, he rose through the military ranks quickly, proving that your past doesn’t define your future.

[00:06:10] He shares how his health rapidly declined after a severe injury while weight training. His condition led to neurological issues, chronic pain, and heart rate irregularities, making even simple tasks unbearable.

[00:08:47] After years of misdiagnoses and being dismissed by doctors, Kevin nearly gave up. A turning point came when he made a promise: if he survived, he would dedicate his life to helping others.

[00:10:25] Through his background in intelligence analysis, Kevin began researching his own condition, eventually diagnosing himself with cervical instability. This breakthrough led him to a doctor in Colorado for stem cell therapy, which started his road to recovery.

[00:16:24] Kevin emphasizes that health is a skill, not just a state of being. He explains how small, consistent habits—like tracking food intake and identifying inflammation triggers—helped him take control of his well-being.

[00:26:22] He discusses how entrepreneurs often sacrifice their health for business success, not realizing that poor health impacts mental clarity, decision-making, and leadership. He urges leaders to prioritize well-being to perform at their best.

[00:35:31] Kevin shares how ego can be a barrier to health and leadership growth. He had to shift from needing to be right to seeking the right solutions, which allowed him to become a more effective coach and mentor.

[00:44:00] His final advice: Start small and build momentum. Whether it’s one push-up, one walk, or one healthier meal, small, consistent actions lead to transformation.
