DC comics began writing stories for the world to enjoy 88 years ago in 1935. Superman flew in under the banner of Action Comics in the summer of 1938. Batman began solving crimes for Detective Comics soon thereafter. This latest name would then be shortened to the moniker of DC comics that we know today. DC Comics now gives us stories to read, as well as television shows and movies to watch.
