"I love you, normies. I try so hard to fit into the world that you have created, but alas, we need accommodations and hysterectomies. Accommodations and hysterectomies." — Emily, 7 Days Until Uterus Eviction Day

In This Episode:

  • I'm taking a THC break before surgery, and it is not going well already. Cannabis has made living with Adenomyosis much more manageable for the last few years, and without it, I have very little I can do for pain and discomfort :-(

  • Note: Where I'm recording from, cannabis is legal for both medical and adult use.

  • Getting ready for my therapy appointment and being grateful to have found a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) who specializes in ADHD in adult women.

  • Speaking of ADHD, my train of thought for this episode is quite difficult to keep track of!

  • I mentioned why I use the term "cannabis" rather than "marijuana" because of racial undertones. Learn more: Codeswitch: The Mysterious History Of 'Marijuana' from NPR

  • Sorry for turning this into the "Emily Can't Have Pot-cast"

  • Find out the reason I didn't do anything with the Adenomyosis podcast idea I had about two years ago.

  • Calling the week before my surgery "Hell Week," like I'm in a theater production again.

Note from Future-Emily:

LOL, knowing what I know about the next episode,I had a smirk on my face the entire time while editing and re-listening. You'll find out why soon enough!
