This is a super special episode as another member of the Cragg family comes on the pod – my brother Harry, and this is a deep one!

We start by having a conversation that we have never broached before, about the actual day matt passed and how we both remember it. We fully go down memory lane, reflecting on our time at school, how quickly we both went back and how different our experiences were with Harry getting great support and mine not being so good in comparison to his - which he shares sad feelings over, with being my older brother.

We talk moving onto university, our differing choices of why we chose where we ended up and our grief potentially playing a part in that. How individual grief is and how even losing the same person we all respond and cope differently, and this is okay!

Harry shares the painful reality of having lost something the rest of our family hasn’t, as he no longer has a brother figure at all, and the pressures of stepping into ‘older’ brother territory earlier than expected and being compared to Matt.

We have a good old giggle and heart-warming moment over how close we have become over the last 10 years despite our trauma and how we think Matt would be smiling down on us.

Harry shares how he connects with Matt in his daily life, shining a light on whatever it is large or small that makes you feel connected to just DO IT!

We talk celebrations, pressures, marathons, music, friendships, uniqueness in grief and so much more…

With Harry ending off the chat with this advice: “don’t compare yourself, and don’t be afraid to talk and to tap in”

xx
