Sox at the Dish: The Rockies took a 1-0 lead in the Top of the 2nd, but the lead was short-lived. In the Home 2nd Inning, Wilyer Abreu tied the game at 1-1 with an opposite field Double. Abraham Toro followed and put the Red Sox up 3-1 with a 2-run Double. The Red Sox added on with a little 2-out Magic in the Bottom of the 5th. Romy Gonzalez kept the inning alive with a 2-out Triple. Roman Anthony followed and hit a 2-run Homer to centerfield (418') to make it 5-1. It is his 2nd Big League Home Run and his 1st at Fenway. Anthony collected his 3rd hit of the game with a 1-out Single in the 7th and he scored all the way from 1st on a pinch-hit Single from Jarren Duran. Duran has hit safely in 8 straight games, and he scored on a Single from Carlos Narvaez. Ceddanne Rafaela and Romy Gonzalez capped the night for the Red Sox with both hitting solo Home Runs in the 8th.

Give 'Em The Fitts: Richard Fitts made the start in the series opener against the Rockies Monday night, and he ended up picking up his 1st Big League Win. The right-hander worked into the 6th Inning, going 5.2 Innings and giving up 3 runs (all 3 unearned) on 5 Hits. He walked 1 and stuck out 6. Fitts had gone without a winning decision over his 1st 11 Big League starts.

Leading Man: Adam Eaton hit leadoff for the 3rd straight game and went 1-for-3 with a Double before being lifted for a pinch-hitter in the 6th. Eaton was cut down on an attempted steal of 3rd in the 1st Inning. It's just the 2nd time (17-for-19) he's been caught stealing in the Big Leagues with the Royals and Red Sox.

Lucas Giolito is set to pitch for the Red Sox in Wednesday's series finale. The last time the Red Sox played the Rockies they lost 20-7 at Coors Field on July 24, 2024. It was the final game of a 1-5 Road Trip out of the All-Star break and came on the same day that it was reviled that the Red Sox and Alex Cora had an agreement on a contract extension.
