In Part 1, we reflected on abundance in a desolate place. If you missed Part 1, I invite you to tune in—it lays the foundation for this series on trust and provision.

Now, we see how Jesus reveals the order of faith. In Luke 9, the disciples looked at the crowd and their meager supply—five loaves and two fish—and responded with hesitation: “Unless we buy food…” Their words carried an if.

But Jesus did not wait for proof. He instructed them, “Have them sit down in groups of fifty.” He prepared the people to receive before any provision was visible. This is the profound order of trust: expectation precedes evidence. Jesus lived with unwavering confidence that His Father would provide, and His actions flowed from that certainty.

Advent is a season of hope and great expectations. It calls us to prepare our hearts not with doubt, but with trust. Just as Jesus arranged the crowd before the miracle, we are invited to arrange our lives in readiness—believing that God’s provision will meet us.

As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13 (ESV)

This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

So today, toss your if/then rationale.

Be Reflective: Where in your life do you find yourself waiting for proof before trusting God’s provision? What would it look like for you to live this Advent season with “no ifs,” only trust?

Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, in this season of Advent, I choose to trust You without hesitation. I prepare my heart to receive Your provision, even when I cannot see it yet. Fill me with hope, joy, and peace as I rest in the certainty of Your love. Amen.

Be Fed: 2 Corinthians 9:8; Galatians 5:22; 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17
