Manage episode 523138230 series 3704212
We are concluding our 3-part Advent series on abundance. If you missed the first two recordings, I encourage you to listen—they set the stage for this final reflection.
In Part 1, we saw that Jesus did not allow His environment to dictate what was possible. In Part 2, we discovered the order of trust—expectation before evidence. Now, in Part 3, we are invited deeper into the heart of provision. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish and looked up to heaven. His dependence was clear: the miracle was not about Him, but about His Father. Then, Jesus blessed what He had. We see that in God’s economy, thanksgiving often precedes multiplication. Finally, Jesus urged the disciples to gather the fragments so that nothing would be lost. Abundance is not careless—it calls us to stewardship, to honor and preserve what God provides.
This series began with conversations about abundance. Advent reminds us that true abundance is not defined by circumstance, but by trust, gratitude, and stewardship. No matter what surrounds us, God’s Word continues to teach us His ways.
As you reflect on that, remember these words -- “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths.” Psalm 25:4 (ESV)
This has been your B Moment. Your moment to be still…to be fed by the Word of God…to be grateful.

So today, keep being a good steward.
Be Reflective: When you face scarcity, where do you turn first – your own resources or your Heavenly Father? In what ways can you steward the “fragments” of abundance in your life so that nothing is wasted?
Be Prayerful: Heavenly Father, help me to bless what You have already placed in my hands, trusting that You will multiply it according to Your will. Give me wisdom to gather and steward well, so that nothing of Your provision is taken for granted. In this Advent season, make me to know Your ways and guide me in Your paths. Amen.
Be Fed: Deuteronomy 7:13; Psalm 143:8; 1 Corinthians 4:2
