142 | Removing Barriers to Mental Wellness in Christian BIPOC Communities with Margaret L. Conley
Manage episode 476984443 series 3494449
Hey, Sister-friend 👋🏽
Enjoy this repeat of one of my favourite episodes:
Today, I have a special guest, Margaret L. Conley, to help raise awareness of how to approach mental wellness in Christian BIPOC Communities.
Margaret owns MLC Consulting, LLC, and is the President of Mending Life Concepts Empowerment Group, Inc., which focuses on serving marginalized populations at the intersection of spirituality and emotional wellness.
Margaret has produced an evidence-based and clinically aligned theological method designed for use by clergy, academics and clinicians to help lead the conversation around Faith-Based Trauma in individual and community settings.
Margaret will share more about
- Some common cultural stigmas around BIPOC mental health
- The impact of these factors on BIPOC attitudes toward mental health
- How to break down these barriers within Christian communities so BIPOC populations can enjoy an integration of spiritual and emotional wellness.
I hope this episode blesses you.
Blessings and Love 😊
Jenniel
