Ok all you 10-ers, today we bring you an unforgettable story of survival, courage and processing loss and grief. This week’s guest is Ruth Wariner. Ruth is an internationally renowned speaker and author of The Sound of Gravel, an instant New York Times bestseller, which People Magazine called “heartbreaking, haunting, yet ultimately uplifting.”

Ruth is the thirty-ninth of her father’s forty-two children, and she details her tumultuous childhood, as well as coming of age in a polygamist family in rural Mexico. Ruth escaped to the U.S. with her youngest siblings in 1987, putting herself through college and graduate school while raising her three younger sisters. We hope that Ruth’s accounts and ultimately advice, bring to light that even in the darkest hours we can prevail.
