Sustainability is a subject close to our heart and we are pleased to bring you the story of another sustainability warrior. Meet the Co-Founder of Upcycleluxe, Harshita Chandra, a passionate entrepreneur and an international sustainability consultant who has also won the Sustainability Initiative of the Year by Entrepreneur India.
A graduate of National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Harshita is an engineer-turned-fashion technologist who has worked towards driving Fashion Businesses enabled by Technology, in Digitalisation, Business Strategy, Marketing, Automation, Technology Integration.
Upcycleluxe is India’s first zero-waste & sustainable fashion marketplace that “calculates environmental impact with plastic-free being the norm and zero-waste a lifestyle.” It was born out of Harshita’s experience at her fashion internship when she witnessed massive wastage of products from leading fast-fashion brands which left her asking several questions about the ethics of consumption and fair-trade practices in the fashion industry.
