Have you ever looked around your home or farm and realized your kids weren’t carrying any of the load? That was me this summer with my four-year-old. As an only child and only grandchild, he had been given everything—without learning responsibility. I knew that had to change.

In this episode, I’m sharing how we began involving him in simple tasks like our Evening Reset and how that opened the door to teaching responsibility, one small step at a time. I’ll talk about how chores build character, what realistic expectations look like for kids of different ages, and why consistency matters more than rewards.

My hope is that you walk away encouraged and empowered to start involving your own kids in daily farm life—whether that’s in the garden, with the animals, or just around the house.

So grab your coffee, settle in, and let’s walk this journey together.
