Emma is joined by Dr. Kevin Coppelson, an oral and maxillo-facial surgeon at the Breathe Institute in Los Angeles, CA.

* Dr. Coppelson explains how narrow nasal cavities can lead to mouth breathing, nasal obstruction, and sleep problems.

* Not having enough space for the tongue to rest at the roof of the mouth and why that causes problems breathing at night.

* Nasal resistance and how that leads to collapsing of the airway.

* Dr. Coppelson explains all the existing techniques for palate expansion including SARPE, DOME, and EASE.
