In this special episode, join this candid conversation with my mom about reclaiming our Korean roots together, going through this journey of identity, and the things we struggled with growing up, as well as the things that we celebrate and are so proud of.

During this chat, we also touched on some emotional topics, including the incredible story of my grandfather’s escape from North Korea as just an 11-year-old boy, as well as reflections from our recent mother-daughter trip to Seoul.

This episode serves as a reminder of the places and the stories that ground us. It’s about discovering the pieces of ourselves that truly matter, and how our roots play a role in that. And no matter where you’re from, we all have a story, a journey of identity, and self-worth.
