I got a fever and the only cure is…

1977’s John Travolta “classic” Saturday Night Fever, directed by John Badham. Our nighthawks, Jason Dedrick, Eric Fell and Vicky Van, talk about both versions of the film – the PG and the R- rated. Is it a different Night than they remembered looking back on it now?

A snack is supplied by way of a double-decker New York pizza. Want to make one? Stack two slices on top of each other like Tony Manero in the opening:

And what better drink to wash that down – and maybe the taste of the movie too – than with the film’s own Seagram’s Seven and Seven.

They also create a tribute drink called Tony Manero’s Mean Streak, here’s how to make it…

  • Put ice in a tumbler
  • Add one oz (or two if you want the R rated version) of Sambuca
  • Top with Seven Up
  • Add a splash of grenadine

The producer’s wife said it was like someone put those gross Ouzo candies in a nice glass of fruit punch. It wasn’t finished.

If you make a Tony Manero’s Mean Streak or, better yet, make up one of your own, please send a picture to [email protected] by following this link! Even if you don’t, we’d still love to hear from you. Also let us know what you think of the show and if you have any suggestions for future films.
