It takes courage to choose to follow our inner guidance over conventional wisdom and the advice of others when there is a conflict. It begs the question, do we know better what's best for us, or should we follow those with more experience and credentials even when it conflics with our inner guidance? Of course, given a choice, there wouldn't be a conflict between my inner guidance and conventiional wisdom and the advice of "experts". Sadly, there are many times when the two are in conflict and a choice must be made.

For me, I believe doing my best to listen to, trust, and act on my inner guidance is the best thing for me. When I imagine what my life would be like if I had chosen differently , I have the sense that I'd have the nagging feeling, always wondering, what if I had choosen to devote my life to accepting and expressing the magnificence that I am. What beneficial impact on the world could I have had? At least now, I don't have to live with having sold myself short. I've inspired and helped some people lead happier, more joyful and loving lives. I'm proud of that and hope to have an even greater positive impact in the future. It takes courage to believe in myself enough to put all I have into this. The fear that I will fail is real, and I know I need to acknowledge that fear to be able to act inspite of it. It comes down to the question, do I have the courage of my convictions. My response is yes; as afraid as I am that this won't work out for me, I choose to move forward as best as I can figure out anyway.

I hope my example inspires you to more fully accept the magnificent, powerfully creative and infinitly wise being that you are. You have the courage to accept the truth about yourself, as do we all.

I offer thought coaching for those who want my help in more fully accepting their thinking and the choices that come with being aware of the thoughts in our mind. If this is something you'd like to do, contact me at [email protected]
