This week on Smashing BIN, Tony (@southerncollector14) returns to share the story behind one of the rarest cards in his vintage baseball collection: the 1950-51 Toleteros Josh Gibson.

This wasn’t a BIN on eBay. It was a BIN through the community.

Tony breaks down why he moved three iconic cards—including his 1952 Mantle—to consolidate into a card with only 30 known copies. We talk about the card’s unique history, Gibson’s overdue recognition in Major League Baseball’s stat books, and how collecting can become a tool to pass history down to future generations.

We also break down recent BINs involving Jackie Robinson, Mickey Mantle, and Ty Cobb—and what to look for in cards from those legends.
