David blows us away with impressive career spanning over many education startups with the latest one raising close to $200 million in venture. His real world startup counseling will help you build the next incredible company that will last many generations.
Brandon is Managing General Partner of Good People Ventures (https://www.linkedin.com/company/good-peoples-ventures). His mother's dream was to have a broadcasting giant in her household . So, Brandon started by being the anchor/host of a evening drive time radio show in Busan, South Korea (the LA of South Korea). After moving back to the states to potentially take over the family business, he instead creates the #1 Seattle SEO Agency for the past 15 years. While building it, he is given a slot in an Internet Radio network called Toginet for free in exchange for his SEO prowess. His show interviews Neil Patel, John Chow & other well known figures in the online marketing space, but the network changes ownership & he misses his sons and ends up moving back to Asia where he restarts his life in Education. After spending 5+ years teaching/mentoring/advising some of the top Chinese, Korean and Indian students in Seoul, Shanghai & Hong Kong, he comes back to Seattle & the US to Launch SSAT Master & continue this craft of helping some of the best students get into the best boarding school & private school programs (like Stanford Online HS) & fine tune their personal statements so they can obtain entrances into Columbia, Carnegie Mellon & UCLA. He launches EduK8 where he interviews top VCs like Minnie Ingersoll (https://www.linkedin.com/in/mingersoll) or AI leaders like James Brady (https://www.linkedin.com/in/goodgravy). He pauses the show to help his son try and win the biggest Kpop survival competition in history "Boys Planet", but narrowly loses due to some preset decisions around the 9 finalists who become the next BTS. His son (https://kpop.fandom.com/wiki/Kamden) debuts regardless due to his popularity on the show & completes an 19 city US tour in early 2025 (https://kpopconcerts.com/k-pop-news/tour-ampersone-to-kick-off-2025-ampersone-live-tour-my-first_-in-north-america/). After helping his other twin finish of his Computer Science degree at the U of California, Irvine, Brandon decides to take a year exploring in the Red Rock canyons of Las Vegas. During his time reflecting, he realizes he needs to shake up the VC world with his Managing General Partner Vikki Meyer Fininen (https://www.linkedin.com/in/vikkifininen) & starts building Good Peoples Ventures based on the OG GPV Crystal Mangahas (https://www.linkedin.com/in/crystaltmangahas). Shortly before GPV is formed, Brandon starts "Startup Wins", your next favorite podcast, to provide actionable advice from amazing startup founders, VCs and amazing operators or experts in core functions of "building" multigenerational organizations changing the world. His mom's prayers come true and he gets lucky & interviews:
