In this episode, we examine how misinformation is slowing the UK’s shift to cleaner transport. I sit down with Colin Walker, Head of Transport at the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU), as he explains how misleading stories about electric vehicles (EVs) are damaging progress and trust.

Colin tackles some of the most ridiculous myths, from EVs being only for the rich to claims that they’re worse for the environment than petrol cars. We also confront the myths that EVs can’t handle the cold and that they explode in crashes. Colin shares how the ECIU is working to bust these myths with facts, educational campaigns, and a focus on truth.

Colin stresses that only by working together can we ensure a net-zero future driven by facts, not falsehoods.
