In 2007, Erica first tasted that literal slice of heaven known as a custard slice from a bakery chain in south Wales called Jenkins. It is two slices of rough puff pastry with a thick set heavy custard in between and icing on top. It's a variation of the original French dessert known as the Mille-Feuille (Napoleon Pastry). In this episode, we take Erica back to her first experience of it and her continuing love for it.
