Do you remember the George Floyd riots of 2020? (0:04) New York City's next mayor, Zorhan Mamdani, (0:08) jumped on the defund the police movement (0:10) because most crimes, especially the violent ones, (0:14) were created by non-whites. (0:16) And therefore, police are racist because they arrest more people of color. (0:20) It's pretty logical.
They arrest two separate committing the crimes. (0:24) Now, Mamdani wants to put social workers in place of police officers. (0:29) And 911 dispatchers will decide whether to send a social worker or a police officer.
(0:36) The pros are probably going to have to wear bulletproof vests. (0:40) Mamdani said he's going to transfer $1 billion in taxes from the police department (0:45) to the Department of Community Safety.
