In this extra special interview, I am joined Civil Rights pioneer Claudette Colvin. In this extended interview, Miss Colvin discusses growing up in a segregated America, how her bus defiance helped sparked the Montgomery buss boycotts, and her love of rock and roll music. (Apologies for the minor audio glitches which appear towards the end)

Context: Claudette Colvin is an American hero who made history on March 2nd 1955, at the young age of 15, after refusing to give up her seat to a white passenger on a bus. Her courageous act, taking place nine months before Rosa Parks' case, helped spark the Montgomery buss boycotts.

In the aftermath, Colvin and four other plaintiffs challenged bus segregation in the famous Browder v. Gayle case which was taken to the supreme court and resulted in an end to bus segregation in the state of Alabama.
