Brendan Abernathy is a Georgia-born indie-folk singer-songwriter—nick-named “Everyone’s Local Artist”—who spent four straight years living out of his car, playing 600-plus grassroots shows and cultivating a devoted U.S. fan-community. Known for raw, hope-tinged lyrics and a crowd-silencing live presence, he burst into mainstream view in May 2025 when a barefoot performance of his song “Married in a Year (in the Suburbs)” went viral on TikTok, skyrocketing his monthly listeners and setting the stage for his debut LP The Kid Who Got It All Wrong.
