Ian Hamilton is a materials scientist, nuclear engineer, and serial entrepreneur. Having started two hard tech energy companies in the past, he became increasingly concerned with the development of AI and how it is being used. Being a sort of "technology historian", Ian dove deep into the history of AI and has spent the last 5 years reading obscure machine learning and AI textbooks searching for alternatives to the current AI paradigms. Ian and his team thinks they have found the answers they were looking for an have started a company called Transparent AI, where their focus is to develop AI technologies that are not "black-box", more energy efficient, and are theoretically much closer to how the human brain learns compared to current AI technologies.
