This is the audio recording of a lovely conversation I had with August Horstmann, owner and first generation rancher of Horstmann Cattle Company. I first was introduced to August through the meat he produces and wanted to learn more after hearing his story. So, I asked all my dumb questions.

What I particularly liked was his concept of first having a relationship to the soil. He uses cattle as a means to heal the ground. He sees himself as a scientist experimenting with animals to renew the land he owns. It's a beautiful thing.
