This episode contains descriptions of sexual violence, physical abuse, and trauma. It is not suitable for children. But it is necessary listening — for anyone who wants to understand what it means to survive… and to speak out. Today, you’ll hear the voice of a woman who refused to stay silent — even when the world around her demanded it. 💠 Rivky Stein grew up in an ultra-religious Jewish community in New York. Her early life was shaped by deep control, fear, and silence — from the foster care system, to an abusive father, and eventually, into a marriage that would become a prison. 💠 In her own words, she walks us through the silence of the rabbis whom she asked for help, and what it meant to be “owned” by someone who claimed her body, her mind, and her freedom. But Rivky isn’t here to be pitied — she’s here to be heard. And to call others — women who have suffered, women who are still silent — to step into their own power. 💠 This is not an easy conversation. But it is an essential one. Rivky Stein is more than a survivor. She’s a force — a mother, an advocate, and a woman who turned pain into purpose. Her story is heartbreaking, yes. But it’s also a call: to listen more deeply, to believe survivors, and to stand with those still trying to break free. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, please know — there is help. You are not alone. We’ve included resources in the episode description. To Rivky — and to every person still fighting for their voice — we hear you. We believe you. And we stand with you. 💠 To be in touch with Rivky, email: [email protected]. To contribute to Rivky's legal fight and to assist others please contribute to: 👉 https://gofund.me/7c145ac2 .
