Tonight on CEP: A very special Torment a Scammer episode!
- Marc announces his new Webinar Waiting Lists - one for consumers and one for aspiring technicians!
- Foghorn calls those Norton impostors back, and asks them why they keep urging him to cancel. (Once you request a refund, they can ask for your credit card or bank account numbers.)
- I then hear another guy in the background scamming someone else, so I ask my scammer about him.
- Once I finally let him into my test computer, he claims there's "AI Software scanning your computer", when in reality he's snooping around looking for passwords.
- The next call was done by a buddy of mine who goes by Karl Millechamp. I pass him the number for an Apple impostor and he makes quick work of them. When they ask for his name, he takes them on a journey through wild spellings ("K A J R X L...") and they fall for it. It's a comedic masterpiece unlike anything you've heard here so far.
